Men's Counselling Service

Q: I feel like I need some help. What’s the first step?

A: You have already taken the first step by acknowledging how you feel. The second step is to contact Brockville-based Keith Fraser or Kingston-based Keith Ashford to set up an introductory session. These first appointments can usually be arranged within one week of your call.

Q: Do I need a referral?

A: No. All of our clients are self-referred.

Q: How will I know if MCS is right for me and my situation?

A: The introductory session is designed to help answer that question. Part of our job is to make an accurate assessment of your needs and to recommend an approach that will provide you with the greatest possible benefit in the shortest possible time.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The fee for counselling is $115 per session plus HST.

Q: Do you provide counselling for adolescents?

A: No. Our service is for men. For the purpose of determining eligibility for counselling, our basic definition of a man is someone who is self-supporting and living independently.

Q: Will my employee benefits package cover the costs?

A: Some plans provide reimbursement, others do not. Please contact your provider.
